Rooted in the earth, reaching for the sun

It was in the mid 80's today.  But it is still early season.  It is fun to contrast the photos from spring to those though out the summer and fall.

Lots of dirt.  Going to be fun when these shots, these fields are full of green!

This is backyard urban.  No doubt.  Lots of raking, weeding, readying the soil, the irrigation, and hoeing the rows.  Lots of work goes into turning this into a field of lush, green food.  It is good work, outside, sun and rain, fresh air, dirt in the toes, dirt in the fingernails.  This is good work, earth work.

We aren't the only ones getting a start on summer.  Spring-time spiders!
