What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a partnership between us, B.U.G. Farmers, and you, the locavore consumer! CSA's are a business model that allows you as a consumer and us as farmers share the risks and benefits involved in growing your food. You invest in the farm before the season begins by purchasing a subscription to the farm (or as we call it a "share") and you then become a member. With this membership you receive a share of the harvest, once the season starts. Our CSA program gives families and individuals an opportunity to directly access urban-grown, farm fresh produce throughout the growing season while directly supporting small scale, sustainable, grassroots community agriculture. Your upfront payment is indispensable in covering start-up farm expenses as well as providing living wages for the folks who are growing your food. Without your support, we would not be able to continue growing good food for our Salt Lake community. We hope you will consider becoming a member of the B.U.G. Farms CSA Program!
