Cooling Tulsi Sun Tea

Cooling Tulsi Sun Tea
The medicinal properties of Tulsi are many, but it is commonly used as an adaptogen, supporting the body and mind through various forms of stress; it can also encourage respiratory health. We recommend making tea with this herb-- a truly uplifting and nourishing tonic in the heat of the summer.

  • Take the whole bunch -- leaves, stems, flowers and all!-- and do a rough chop with a sharp knife.

  • Place the chopped plant  it in a clear, glass jar.   Pour 1 quart of cool water over it, and let it steep for 8 to 12 hrs  in a sunny place.

  • Strain the plant material away, and squeeze any excess liquid out.

  • Chill in the fridge, or add ice. Dilute with more water as you desire to find just the right taste.

Add Lemon Juice, Cumber Slices and/or or Fresh Ginger to your taste.
